mckeown's drawings

the best restaurant in seaside. we went there three times. they have these books that you can write memories and stuff about the restaurant. it's a pretty neat concept. so i decided to do some quick portraits of my family.

Photomontages

Here's the rest of them. I think the fruit looks good on its own. but so does the one adding the african soldier. He changes it up completely from this graceful, triangular balance of a beautiful, giant-fruit-filled landscape to a solider guarding his valley expressing "aye. my giant fruit. to feed my country." i hope that wasnt racist or anything.

the berries in the sky is my personal favorite. plays with your eye.

pretty fun and easy project. hard to go wrong with these.

WCR Benefit Show

Flier I made to help promote this event. clean and simple, like most gig works.

Self Portraits (2/3)

my drawing finals. i like working on midtone paper. making shadows and highlights with two different values really brings out a whole new sense of depth for me.

Joan Rivers

I had no choice, I was more than half way through. it totally would have done somebody more attractive.

its interesting how demonic the communist colors look compared to my creme/shades of brown style. they both show different feelings.

11001101 BINARY 000111001

Word project for my 2D design class. Not generally my style, but it's neat anyways.

blocks

this really screws with your eye if you stare at different sections. sort of an art piece. to me you start to perceive all kinds of different shapes all over the place. sometimes it looks like its floating, sometimes pressed in or bulging out. sometimes stairs, buildings, tubes, boxes. try the little challenge of finding these shapes selective shapes.

it's pretty fun. i think word search puzzles are harder than this.

Circle Thing

I don't know what it is, but I think it's alive. And it can probably fly too.

Proctor Arts Fest Submission

$500 to winner. Hope I get it.

I still have to work on getting the perfect printing colors but the hues will basically be the same.

MIA illustrator doodle

This is what I did my first day of graphic design class to show off to my class mates.

Hockey Poster for Sasquatch! 2009

It's up on their site. Pretty goddamn legit if you ask me. 18 by 24 inches.

I will be selling them for $20 instead of $30 because the date is wrong. Not my fault but it's too late they are printed. I will probably autograph them too. Who knows, I could be famous someday.

Links are for the sasquatch page and also my submission to threadless. I also attached a super high res version of the poster.

Evolution of a Logo: Think eResults

I will be an active graphics designer for a new web solutions company, "Think eResults."

The first image shows my rigorous process of designing a logo for a couple of very picky clients =p. The second is the finished and more polished logo.

GROWLR - FUNFUNFUN posters

Here is two different versions. On with yellow sun rays, one without the yellow.

I'm not sure if the script font is appropriate, but it matches the clouds. Just not the sun letters.
